Newton native John Krasinski (The Office) met up with his "Away We Go"
co-star Maya Rudolph at the Coolidge Corner Theatre on Sunday night for
an early screening of the film. The event doubled as a benefit for 826
Boston, a writing program for kids run by author Dave Eggers, who
co-wrote "Away We Go" with his wife, author Vendela Vida. Eggers was
also at the Sunday event, but as you can tell by this photo, he was
camera-shy.
Krasinski had told us earlier that day that he was excited for Rudolph to
meet his family, who came with him to the Coolidge to see the movie. He
joked that because Rudolph plays his wife in the film, it's about time she
met his parents.
In real life, Rudolph is romantically linked to director Paul Thomas
Anderson -- and is reportedly pregnant with their second child. The
actress didn't have to travel far to get to Brookline. She's been on the
North Shore filming scenes for the Adam Sandler movie "Grown Ups."
