"Valediction," the Eliza Dushku-Ben Barnes movie that was shot around South Boston
a few months ago, appears to have a new name. The thriller-drama is now called
"Locked In", and it's gotten itself a brand-spanking new trailer to go along with the
snazzy new moniker.
This dark film stars Eliza Dushku, who, like a good wine, improves with age. It seems
not so many years ago she was a little girl giving her father, Paul Reiser, a hard time
in "Bye, Bye Love". Now it's not just Paul she gives a 'hard' time.
This new thriller is cowritten and directed by Suri Krishnamma - "Locked In" moves
through the lives of two fragile yet determined people and maps a private geography
of love, loss and ultimate redemption. Josh leaves his advertising career at its peak,
everyone wants either to be him or to have him. Then he walks away from it all, the
money, recognition and the life. A car accident will leave his daughter in a strange
coma and when everyone has given up she starts communicating with him, or is he
going mad?
